Without giving too much away, the story centres around how the two girls, Tennant and Sophie survived. I could find nothing on the internet though, so you really are going in blindly with this one. I tried to get more information about this book, as I felt the blurb didn’t really tell me too much. From out of nowhere, their father sweeps them up and drops them through a trapdoor into a storm cellar. In the shadow of Mount Hood, sixteen-year-old Tennant is checking rabbit traps with her eight-year-old sister Sophie when the girls are suddenly overcome by a strange vibration rising out of the forest, building in intensity until it sounds like a deafening crescendo of screams. ![]() ![]() The previous PattersonxBarker collaboration, The Coast to Coast Murders, remains one of my favourite books of 2021….how does The Noise compare? What is The Noise about? My husband was moving the couch the other day, and the metal feet scraped along the tiled floor….the noise coming from that was unbearable! In that moment, that awful sound reminded me that I hadn’t yet written my review of The Noise. ![]()
